Frame Tilt
The frame tilt is a particular feature which is common to telehandlers. The operator is able to activate controls to change the lateral or side to side angle of the frame. This frame could be moved 10 to 15 degrees in either direction from horizontal. There is a liquid filled tube which is curved and mounted in the cab. This is the level indicator or frame tilt indicator and works like a carpenter's level. It has a bubble indicator that indicates the lateral angle of the frame relative to the ground. Steering
Rear wheel steering is provided on several telehandler units, which is similar to a vertical mast type unit. When inspecting the forks, look closely at the heel thickness for damage or wear. The manufacturer of the truck specifies minimum thickness. A loose fit might mean the hanger points or carriage are worn. Look for cracks on the arms at heels and mountings.
