Start-up of the lift truck industry
In the beginning the domestic lift truck marketplace in Korea was an open import enterprise. Korea Machinery Co. Ltd. started in 1960, to import fully assembled forklifts as part of a domestic machinery expansion project. Product sales of these goods were primarily targeted to state-run corporations, large scale corporations, and the armed forces. This ultimately led to a unification with Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd. In 1976, the Forklift Division begun business operations throughout Korea to overhaul and sell this heavy equipment. By 1978, a forklift production plant was successfully completed. Continuous technical instruction became the new focus for enhancing quality and product development.
The overall efficiency of the propane forklift is impressive. Since the propane cylinders could be changed in hardly any time, the machinery can be back on the job relatively quick since it experiences barely any downtime. It is not like the electric forklift where spare batteries must be acquired to be utilized while the original battery could take up to 8 hours of cooling time and 8 hours of charging time depending on the model.
Safety
Because the fuel system of the propane lift truck is sealed; it is far safer to function as opposed to other models of lift truck. The fuel cylinders are sealed to ensure optimum safety and should adhere to strict national code specialization. Propane gas even works with less energy as opposed to CNG gas, thus, if any accident takes place, there is a system where the fuel is shut off. This greatly lowers the probable danger and destruction that could happen. Refilling options are likewise beneficial for the operator. If they would prefer to refuel elsewhere, the cylinders could be transported to a refilling centre. If the business prefers, the refilling could be done on site instead.
