The most common designation for electric lift trucks are the type "E" meaning the lift trucks meets the lowest requirements for electrical hazards and fire. All the lift trucks that are described as type E are not suitable for use in unsafe locations. Type "ES" lift trucks meet all the requirements of Type "E" lift trucks and have added equipment to be able to stop the emission of sparks and limit the surface temperature of lift truck parts.
